Before hiring we will need to see the card part of your driving licence as well as either a DVLA check code (which can be generated on the DVLA website - www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence) or your National Insurance number. This will alow us access to the DVLA database where details of driving entitlement and offences are now held (The DVLA are no longer updating the paper counterpart driving licence). We also require another form of ID confirming address that is less than three months old – utility bill, bank statement, council tax bill etc.

In some circumstances we may struggle to provide insurance for drivers with over nine points on their licence. If you are unsure please call the office and we will do what we can to arrange cover.


Yes. We cannot provide insurance cover for anyone younger than 21 or over the age of 75. However there are exceptions so please call for more detail. The insurance charge differs for drivers aged between 21 and 25 years.

For mini-bus hire drivers must be between 25 and 75 years of age.


All of our diesel vehicles (most of the van fleet) are supplied full of fuel. Petrol vehicles are not always full and will need to be returned with the same level of fuel as when collected.

Electric vehicles are provided fully charged but do not need to be returned fully charged.

Fuel top-up charges will apply on return of the vehicle at our prevailing pump rate.


All vehicles need to be collected and returned within office hours. There is no out of hours drop off facility.

We are open Monday to Friday 8am to 5.30pm and Saturday 8am to 12 noon. 

 


We can hire for anything from half a day to three years. Our ‘day rate’ covers a 24 hour period. E.g pick-up 8am Monday morning, return 8am Tuesday morning.


Multiple drivers can be included on the rental agreement; an additonal driver charge is added to cover the additional insurance, the charge depends on vehicle group booked.


Yes. We can provide ratchet straps, sack trucks, rope and boxes. Please call the office to discuss your requirements.


Yes. Most of our vehicles can be taken out of the UK and insurance can be arranged for most European countries. We provide all necessary paperwork to take a vehicle out of the country and provide full 24-hour European breakdown cover.

All European hire must be pre-booked as supplementary insurance and breakdown cover needs to be arranged.

Vehicle groups that cannot be taken out of the country include - 9- seaters, Luton box vans and refrigerated vans.


Generally no, but it can apply in certain circumstances. Please call the office if you are planning a long journey.


We are happy to collect and deliver, charges may apply.


Yes. We ask for a £250 deposit on all hires. This is returned on safe return of the vehicle.

Your deposit can be reduced to £100 if you chose to take out our Excess Protection insurance (cars only).

This will insure you against any liability over and above £100. The charge is £19.99 per day and reduces with duration of hire. The deposit for a refrigerated van is £350.


Our insurance excess is £1,000. This is the customers maximum liability should the vehicle be damaged. Customers can reduce their excess by taking out our Excess Protection insurance. Please note the excess increases for drivers under the age of 25 and excess protection may not be applicable in some cases.


Yes. All our vehicles have 24 hour RAC breakdown cover. The breakdown number is clearly displayed in the cab of your vehicle, on the keyring fob and printed on your rental agreement. This number covers mechanical breakdown, tyres, damage and anything that renders you off the road.

Yes, we have two self storage sites in Telford, one providing indoor storage units and one providing 20ft and 10ft shipping containers in a secure yard.

Customers are liable for any road traffic related fines, tolls etc. Once they come through to us we will be in touch and let you know the cost. Please be aware that due to the bulk of fines etc we have to process there will be a fee charged.


Most of our hire vehicles are new enough for charges in clean air zones not to apply but we recommend you check before-hand at www.gov.uk/clean-air-zones


In the event of an accident please either call the office on 01952730251 or our 24-hour breakdown/accident line on 0333 207 9654. We recommend you take as much detail as you can from any third parties involved and take as many pictures as you think necessary.
