Every vehicle hire requires a security deposit. We hold this amount separately from your main hire fee through a pre-authorisation on your payment card. The exact deposit value varies depending on the type of vehicle you choose and the age of the driver. For instance, young drivers between 23 and 25 must provide a higher security deposit.
Accepted Deposit Methods
You must provide a physical credit or debit card for the deposit pre-authorisation, and the cardholder must be present. For security compliance, we cannot accept contactless payments or digital wallets such as Apple Pay or Google Pay for this specific transaction.
We retain the pre-authorised funds for the length of your hire period. Once you return the car or van to us in its original condition, we immediately instruct your bank to release the deposit. Keep in mind that the time it takes for the funds to reappear in your available balance depends entirely on the standard processing speeds of your specific bank or card provider.
